Anchorages... Taahuku Bay, Hiva Oa, Marquesas. May 2010.


Not everyone's idea of anchoring in an island paradise but you have to check in somewhre with immigration. The anchorage is small, shallow, crowded and you would not want to swim in the water.


It's a 3 kilometer walk into the pleasant town of Atuona, Paul Gauguin's final resting place.
